Ribbon Sankofa Futures Policy Hub

Policy shapes how we live.

WHY POLICY MATTERS

Policy affects whether people can access care, remain healthy, age with dignity, and live in communities where they can thrive.

The Ribbon Sankofa Futures Policy Hub brings people, community experience, and policy together to help shape healthier and more equitable futures.

We focus on the policies and systems that influence the lives of people and communities most affected by HIV and health inequities. The Hub creates opportunities for community members, advocates, organizations, and other leaders to understand policy, recognize what is at stake, and participate in efforts to create change.

COMMUNITY AT THE CENTER

Policy should not happen around communities or to them.

People whose lives are affected by public policy should have meaningful opportunities to understand what is happening, make their voices heard, and help shape the decisions that affect their lives and communities.

HOW CHANGE MOVES

From experience to influence.

The Policy Hub helps people move from understanding what is happening to having the knowledge, confidence, and strategy to help shape what comes next.

UNDERSTAND

Make policy easier to understand and connect it to the choices that shape everyday life and opportunity.
