BWISE UNIVERSITY

Where Experience Opens Doors

BWISE University is a national, virtual workforce and leadership development program for peer professionals serving Black cisgender and transgender women impacted by HIV.

ABOUT BWISE UNIVERSITY

Experience Is Expertise

Peer professionals bring knowledge that cannot be learned from a textbook. BWISE University builds on that experience with practical tools, professional development, and opportunities to grow as leaders in HIV care, prevention, and support services.

Through a national, virtual learning experience, participants develop the confidence and capabilities to navigate the workplace, support communities with care, advocate effectively, and pursue what comes next in their professional journey.

WHY BWISE MATTERS

Investing in the People Closest to Community

Peer professionals often bring lived experience, trusted relationships, and a deep understanding of the communities they serve. BWISE University invests in that expertise so participants can continue growing in their work, expanding their influence, and helping shape better experiences for Black women living with and impacted by HIV.

When peer professionals have access to meaningful development opportunities, organizations benefit too. Teams gain people who are better equipped to communicate, lead, advocate, navigate challenges, and contribute to more responsive, community-centered services.
